I'm Baaaa-aaack!

I've been so negligent with my new toy.... I actually tried to log on last night, but had trouble getting through...They must have figured out that I work in media or something.....bastages...

It's going to be an easy week for me, as it was a stressful one last week...I'm off Tues-Thurs...You get used to covering things that don't usually get covered when it's only baseball season, and the high schools are out for the summer, and last week, I covered a tractor pull, a rodeo, and a few summer camps...(basketball)....After working the 4th, I get an extra day off, so maybe I'll vacuum twice or something....

I anchored Sat-today, and I'm pooped...But as I wallow in self-pity, I do realize that I'm not digging ditches...Really...

I was thinking about trying to get an hour show on the Durant AM sports station...It's a small one, but they simulcast Fox Sports Radio most of the time....I'd like to do it on Saturday mornings, but beggars can't be choosers... I hope they'd like the idea of an hour of local programming Saturday mornings, but they don't know me, so we'll see if I can make it a go....I'd eventually like to do both, and It's probably a good idea to stay sharp with it....

I promise not to deprive all 3 of you of these witty scribbles in the future...But thing will pick up closer to football....OH! by the way...

the Associated Press reported last night that one of our area blue-chips commited to Iowa....Well, his Dad called me, and said that he'd not commited....Turns out, a Des Moines paper saw on a fansite that he had commited, and reported it from that....The A-P picks it up, and all hell breaks loose.....there will be a big story on it in tomorrow's Sherman paper by Jason Della Rosa. He and I collaborated on it, and kept in contact through the night once someone got a call. It should be pretty good, as Jason can have as much of a flare of sarcasm in his writing as I do in mine...(no, really)....Find it here under "sports"....(http://www.herald-democrat.com)
